Symposium Day 1

Join us for Day 1 of the ANZDATA 50th Anniversary Symposium, featuring speakers from across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand reflecting on five decades of impact, from dialysis care and clinical outcomes to consumer engagement and the evolution of the registry itself.

The day also brings some celebratory moments, including a fun and interactive round of ANZDATA trivia, followed by a very special anniversary dinner at the historic Mortlock Library.

What's included in the ticket price?

Full-day tickets include morning tea, lunch, and tea and coffee throughout the day. Anniversary dinner tickets include a full sit-down dinner, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks included.

Early bird pricing is available until 15 November 2026.

We'd love for everyone to join us at the historic Mortlock Library to celebrate ANZDATA's 50th. Dinner tickets can be added during the registration process. The evening will be a black-and-gold gala celebration, and we encourage guests to embrace the theme by wearing black and/or gold. Formal attire is requested for the occasion if possible.

Who is this Symposium for?

Anyone with an interest or involvement in ANZDATA, past or present, or in dialysis and kidney transplantation more broadly.

The symposium is open to clinicians, nurses, transplant and donation coordinators, researchers, registry scientists, data scientists, consumers and members of the public alike.

No organisational affiliation is required, just register and join us.

Where is the Symposium being held?

The symposium will be held in the ground-floor auditorium at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), on North Terrace, Adelaide. There's no on-site parking, but paid parking is available next door at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and at nearby carparks.

The venue is an easy tram ride or a 10-minute walk from Adelaide train station, and a range of hotels are within 5-10 minutes' walk for those flying in.

SAHMRI is wheelchair accessible.

Will sessions be recorded or livestreamed?

This is an in-person event only, so sessions won't be livestreamed. However, recordings will be made available online for registered attendees after the symposium.

Can I attend just for one day or two days?

You're welcome to attend a single day or any combination of the three, simply select the day(s) you'd like to attend when registering. Please note that the Datathon and Symposium must be purchased separately.

What is ANZDATA trivia? Do I need to prepare?

Just a fun celebration of 50 years of data, no prep required. Bring your ANZDATA (or kidney, or data) knowledge, and a good sense of humour.
